Meet the Meg(h)ans

Your fashion BFFFs

You only need one fashion friend named Meg(h)an…

JK, there are two of us!

The dearest of friends for nearly 10 years, with a combined 25 years of fashion industry experience; it all started on a photoshoot set where one Meghan was asking far too many questions…

We don’t enjoy writing about ourselves and we’re far better at hyping the other up , so we made each other write our bios… it’s more fun that way anyways! We tend to gush, so prepare yourself…

Meet Meghan, MFF

Want to know the really incredible thing? I thought I had this fashion apprentice  that looked up to me, who I would graciously guide through the unknowns of the fashion industry and life, like an impeccably dressed fairy godmother. But the unpredictability of this life would turn the mentee into the mentor. She would become my rock, a constant, and I would never have a day go by without being truly known because of her.  Meghan shows up for her people, like with bells and whistles (and, likely a karaoke machine), and envelops you in her warmth, hilarity, fun, and absolute goodness. Just you wait Henry Higgins (My Fair Lady anyone?), just you wait! MFF clients, you can go ahead and send your thank you note straight to my inbox!

Some other fun things about our girl: she loves the Lord and adores His people and creation. The party don’t stop for Meghan…ever. She literally makes everything fun. She will make you laugh so hard that you will pee your pants (speaking from experience). She will make you answer all her questions and she won’t forget what you said (even if you might).  She will be your biggest cheerleader, forever confidant, and fiercely loyal (think combo of Ted Lasso and Olaf). She is full of adventure, loves to karaoke (not kidding… there is a karaoke machine in her car trunk), and is the most creative and resourceful person.

She never stops… like ever. You can find her on endless escapades with her two fave boys, B and Rhodsie, finding a way to love on anyone and everyone (stranger, friend and family), creating, giving a voice to the voiceless, educating anyone about ethical fashion, watching Gilmore Girls or The Office for the 57th time, traveling, wishing she could reprise the role of every Barbara Streisand movie. And so much joy and laughter.

Past clients will attest to this: you are getting the very best with Meghan, style and every other facet. She will go above and beyond for you, and does it with delight. Simply said: “They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style” and, MFF is my forever style. So don’t play coy and act like Meghan isn’t the missing piece to your life, and just make her your BFFFseriously, inquire immediately.

Introducing the lovely Meghan Forest Farmer, or as I call her, Effie.

I will never forget the day I met Meghan, she had this bounce of warmth. She asked one million questions, not just to ask, but to make you feel known. I was trying to shake her off but I didn’t, (and couldn’t even if I tried), and that choice was one of my very best.

Meghan always knew she would work in fashion. She was this adorable girl tearing out inspiration from every magazine she could get her hands on. She would forge a path from the dream cultivated in those glossy pages, and would work her tail off to make it a reality. She graduated with a degree in fashion, became an assistant stylist, and this is where our meet cute takes place. This bright eyed, insanely talented and question-asking assistant ended up on a photoshoot set with me one day. She knew her stuff, was wildly entertaining, and bursting with ambition and ideas.

Well, the rest was history not too far after that meet. She left assisting after only a year, began her Styling career, and has never stopped dreaming, aspiring, and achieving. I have had one of the best seats in the house watching her. I’ve been lucky enough to watch so many new beginnings for our girl: an actual meet cute with B (spoiler alert…. she marries him), wedding bells, career twists and turns , a move from D to FW, the arrival of my most darling nephew, Rhodes, motherhood, the vision and birthing of The Bright Factory (you need to know more…. trust me) and life. So. Much. Life.

Say Hello to Megan Pruitt Winder, MPW, or to me, Jane…

Meet Megan, MPW

She’s hilariously self-deprecating, clever, real and raw, with a wit and charm you instantly find yourself attempting to emulate. You will feel embraced by her presence in your life, and learn things you didn’t know you needed in your repertoire. You always leave her presence feeling a bit taller, warm and fuzzy, prayed for, and with a few tear stains from both laughter and the deep heart to heart you ended up having (trust me, it’s going to happen)! When I first met Megan almost a decade ago, we were on the same page: We could never imagine a life where we stayed home with our future children; we were just too driven and way too obsessed with climbing to the top of the proverbial fashion ladder. But… the moment Megan met her first son, the world flipped, and raising her son P, and a few years later her son, S, became the best future she could imagine. As her life has evolved and changed, her boys are still the priority but she gets to build a life for them with the job that has been waiting for her, honestly, made for her: Your Personal Stylist, (or BFFFF).

Megan has always been the hardest worker I know, especially when she has something in front of her she cares about, and that includes her clients. Will she be online shopping for you at 2:00 AM because she remembered something from a fashion show two years ago, that she is just sure is available, and not to mention discounted on The RealReal? Most likely. Will she talk any customer service agent into letting her return that item for you, even if it was Final Sale? Yes, every time…but she does it so kindly, don’t worryYou get the point, Megan is loyal and works hard for her people, and when you become a client, you are officially her people. Count yourself lucky.

I could gush about MPW for hours, weeks. After my husband, she is my dearest friend, my closest confidant, my first phone call, my prayer partner, my biggest fan (and I hers), aunt to my son, best mama to her boys, knower of the best and worst of me, and my favorite blonde. She has impacted my life more than most anyone else, and I can never thank her enough for all she has done for me and with me. I’m so thankful I get to share my BFF with you, as your BFFF. To know her is to love her, and be loved by her.

The journey of Megan through the fashion industry (one that most would envy), can be defined by her supreme editor eye and tenacity; years spent in NYC at the Conde Nast wheelhouse, a near editor at Vogue UK (that back story is a tear jerker if you’re a career fashion girl), Fashion Editor at PaperCity Magazine for several years before making her mark at luxury retailer, The Neiman Marcus Group as a Fashion Editor and Styling Manager for countless editorials.

Her editor eye, or her ability to sniff out soon-to-be trends, know when a look is missing something (or needs to lose it), and always outdoing herself with each new project she undertakes… does make her an incredible stylist, but it's not even close to her best quality…

Megan is so many adjectives, but what I have seen stand the test of time and trials, is not an adjective, but a verb: EMBRACE, (and not just because she’s a hugger). When you meet Megan, you feel embraced by her vivacious, funny, warm, presence. When you sit with Megan, you feel part of her world, and like you are the most important person in said world (a pretty great quality if you’re one of her clients, I must say).

TLDR: We’re each other’s biggest fan, and can’t wait to become your fashion cheerleader & Best Fashion Friend Forever.

xx, Megan & Meghan
